NAHID LOGHMANI WINS SPOT ON EXECUTIVE BOARD; DELEGATES CHOSEN FOR AFT CONVENTION THIS SUMMER

I am happy to announce the results of the two elections that were just concluded.

Math Instructor Nahid Loghmani was the winner in the race to determine who will fill Roberto Armstrong’s place on the PFA Executive Board. The other two candidates were ESL Instructor Pedro Reyes and Non-credit Instructor Virginia Aguilera. Congratulations to Nahid and thanks to Pedro and Virginia for taking part.

The members also selected their delegates to the 2015 AFT Convention in July. The delegates will be: Mark James Miller, PFA President, Richard Baker, PFA Secretary-Treasurer, Pedro Reyes, ESL Instructor, and Danielle Blanchard, Drama Instructor.

A few notes from the delegate election: Biology teacher Jennifer Morris received the same number of votes as Pedro, but has declined to attend. Another nominee, Lisa McKinley, has declined to attend as well. Susan Case will be an alternate should one of the others not be able to go. The other nominees were: George Torbert, Cinthia Barr, and Megan Pope. Again, thanks to everyone who took part.
