The October 2013 issue of the AFT Community College Perspective includes an article highlighting the results of recent negotiations by the Part-Time Faculty Association. The biggest accomplishment was placing the state parity funds on the salary schedule. Other highlights include:

• increased pay for office hours by 30%
• added five new columns to the non-credit salary schedule, both for teaching and non-teaching
• strengthened seniority rights for part-time counselors
• strengthened the evaluation process for all members of the bargaining unit
